Meike Vogt, Greencycles Early-Stage Researcher at UEA, Norwich, UK, presented her recent results on measuring and modelling DMS emissions on the 5th Green Ocean workshop in Villefrance s/ mer, France (more info).

The green ocean project brings together physical, chemical, biological and paleo-oceanographers with a common interest in modelling and its applications to Earth system problems, to develop a new, more comprehensive model of the oceanic compartment of the Earth system; with a view to improving our understanding of the functioning of the global ocean
in the past, present and future. Plans for the development of this model are summarized in a paper Le Quéré et al. (2005) or email for a reprint.
